Reading Electric to Install Solar for Enginuity’s Technology Center
Reading Electric Selected as Solar Installation Provider Submits PA Sunshine Grant Application
Reading, Pennsylvania – October 27, 2009 – Reading Electric announces that Enginuity Energy, LLC has applied for a PA Sunshine Grant. The PA Sunshine Grant, administered by the PA Department of Environmental Protection, is part of a program currently offering $100MM to businesses and residents to help fund solar energy and solar thermal systems. Enginuity will also receive funds from the Federal Grant Program for solar projects, upon completion of the solar installation.
Important Aspects of the Solar Array System & Grant
- The roof mounted solar array will be a focal point in Enginuity’s Showcase Program to provide education on today’s Green Technologies and Systems.
- In addition to education, the solar array will produce the following conservative, estimated savings for Enginuity over the life of the system:
» $10,640 in Reduced Energy Bills
» $10,650 in Renewable Energy Credit payments
» $8,000 in 5 Year Accelerated Depreciation Benefits - The 5 kW, $30,000 system will have a net cost to install of only $12,500 due to the currently available State and Federal solar incentive programs.
Companies interested in receiving a PA Sunshine Grant must apply through a PA DEP certified solar installer. Reading Electric is a PA DEP certified solar installer and will prepare the necessary paperwork filings for you.
